ionomy to update roadmap. Plus, get ready for next gen Gravity

Hello ionomy Community,

Mapping the Storm: Adding value to the ION economy

With the Storm, ionomy shared a vision for the future of the ION economy. As the team has been working to fulfill that vision, the logical sequence of development has become clear. So, keep your eyes peeled for an update to the roadmap on ionomy.com reflecting the expanded scope of the Team’s targets.

Storm refresh

With the ION Storm, the team announced how ionomy would be adding much more value to ION than initially had been envisioned. The Storm includes elements that radically expand the business value of ION for gamers, game developers, and investors:

  • Jumpstart lets 3rd party game devs crowdfund new games. Lightning services let freemium game devs use ION to reward competitive gaming.

  • Thunder services let premium game devs integrate secondary tokens on the ION blockchain and ionomy exchange services to monetize in-game currency.

  • Spark ad network enables game devs to integrate ads quickly and easily, while accelerating payouts at the speed of crypto.

The Team also announced new services and instruments for investors:

  • Alchemy multicurrency exchange, wallet, and masternode services will draw in participants from other masternode communities.

  • Dark Matter, a deflationary asset on the ION blockchain, brings a new form to crypto investment.

Gravity rewrite

The game developers working on Gravity have rewritten the core engine. The rewrite improves security, adds two new worlds (one more basic, one more advanced), and introduces a Gravity store featuring all the gear you need to maximize gameplay fun.

Gravity tournament restructured, paused

With the next release, ionomy will be restructuring the reward allocation for the Gravity weekly tournament, using ionomy Lightning. The new distribution is designed to encourage more widespread gameplay by offering more ways to win, thereby attracting more gamers to the ION economy.

Pending the next release, however, tournament payouts will be suspended. The tournament round ending Sunday, October 15th will be the last one paid out before the new release. Gamers will still be able to see their status on leaderboards.

Progress toward the Moon

Internal alpha testing is going great on ionomy Studios’ next game, “To the Moon or Bust” (TMoB). The developers are adding requested features before opening testing to a community alpha group.

Stay tuned for the updated roadmap, progress updates, and the next generation Crypto Gravity release.
